Commuter Cycles Slide Night #2 – Northern Exposure Double Header

By

Cycling the Fjordlands in Norway, Belinda Heyward.
Beginners guide to Overseas Cycle Touring, Todd Palmer.

Belinda is a seasoned cycle tourer. In June, she took her freshly built “Light Haul Trucker” to Norway to cycle and ferry hop her way through the Fjordlands. Belinda found Norwegian hotel staff very accommodating of her requests to keep the bike in her room, and whilst the Spring weather warmed at times, she felt the scenery was more dramatic with a cloudy or menacing sky.

Todd is Commuter Cycles latest staff member. Before joining us in August he took his Salsa Vaya and minimal camping gear on a solo mission to Iceland before heading south to Spain and France for a backcountry blast with a friend. His first overseas cycling adventure, Todd discovered many things that worked, and some that didn’t.

Whether you’re keen to head overseas, or just planning a local overnighter with friends, join us for a night of info and inspiration to help start planning your next adventure.
