Welcome Back – Summer of 22 Edition

We’ve probably said this about a thousand times in the last two years but THANKYOU everyone for your patience and support. Trying to make decisions and keep Commuter rolling the way all of us expect it to has been really tricky and we’re super grateful to be a part of such an amazing community.

If you’ve come past the shop since the new year break you’ll have noticed we’ve had a lot of stuff set up outside. And it’s been really well received. Seems like outdoor retail is a vibe that works really well with our space (once we got some proper shade and air flow sorted) and we’re going to continue doing this going forward. At least until it gets cold enough that we need to think about mushroom heaters or raging garbage fires in barrels!

Starting this Saturday the 5th of February though, we’re going to resume some indoor stuff. All our high volume things like locks and bells will still be available in the courtyard and test rides will carry on out there as usual. If you’d like to come in and see a million bikepacking bags though, just ask. If you wanna compare a bunch of racks or handlebars or other things we have loads of but couldn’t possible display outside (it’s hard enough inside!) then you’re more than welcome. Just ask a member of staff, wear a mask (or have a valid, written exemption) and sanitise like a boss.

Hopefully this trend of staff and visitor confidence continues and over the next few months we can start to offer events and rides again (and wow, we have some cool stuff planned!) but let’s all just play it by ear for a while.

Thanks again everyone for the support. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
