Belt Drive
Belt drivetrains are an alternative to conventional chain drivetrains where the chain is replaced by a belt made of durable carbon strands and polyurethane. The main benefit of a belt drive is that almost no maintenance is required. The Gates CDX system we stock is reputed to have the same lifespan as 3 chains. Gates Belt Drive ideally is paired with internally geared hubs such as the Rohloff Speedhub or Shimano Alfine.
