Disc Brake Rotors
The right rotor separates a crisp stop from a bad crash, and at Off Course we know the difference. Disc brakes are found on the majority of bikes these days. To get the right rotor, there are two main things to consider. Firstly, hub interface. Rotors meet the hub in either a 6-bolt or “Centrelock” style. Secondly, rotor diameter. Rotors are 140mm, 160mm, 180mm, or 203mm in diameter, and many bikes have a limit on how large you can go. Larger diameters deliver better stopping power, but with less modulation in brake-feel.
