Tubes

We stock the entire range of Schwalbe tubes, which unless you’re a bicycle aficionado are very confusing to figure out which size you’ll need! To find the right size tube for your bike you’ll need to know 3 things, which correlate roughly to Schwalbe’s naming convention of Valve/Code/Rim/Tyre Width. eg. SV/17/700c/28-45c

  1. The rim/wheel diameter. Common sizes are 26″ (old MTB or small frame commuter bikes) or 28″/700c (most commuter and road bikes).
  2. The tyre width (measured across). This is generally listed in inches for large sizes and mm for smaller sizes. There’s also the odd French naming convention that nobody really gets which uses a, b or c. Tubes, being rubber, will fit a range of sizes, and some tubes will work on a range of rim diameters.
  3. The valve type, which is normally one of these:
    1. Schrader Valve – the fat one which works at your local service station. Annoyingly, Schwalbe name this the AV Auto/Moto valve.
    2. Presta Valve – the skinny one which has that weird thing you have to unscrew first and needs an adapter to work at your servo. Schwalbe label this one the SV valve.

We also stock various tools and puncture repair kits for when punctures occur.
