The question of a separate fork cone does not arise with most tax rates. Because they went there anyway before changing the wheel and fork. The situation is different with Chris King tax rates, because of their longevity, they are gladly taken over into other bicycle generations. A new fork cone may be necessary. The -Devolution- version is used to reduce the diameter of the steerer tube, so it is ideal if, for example, you have a 1.5 “Chris King headset but want to install a fork with a 1 1/8” stem.
