Transform your bike in no time at all from a lightweight bike for sporty tours into a transport bike for shopping and commuting – this way you stay completely flexible. Fifteen seconds is all it takes to mount the practical luggage rack and only five seconds to remove it again. The struts with a diameter of 10 mm support a payload of up to 20 kilograms. The Quick-Rack is of course suitable for use with all of our fixation systems so that you can combine it with any ORTLIEB bag. Thanks to the two hanging levels and a platform, you can also use and fasten panniers and a basket at the same time. The optional mudguards make sure that you keep dry and clean in bad weather too.
Maximum flexibility
Thanks to its versatile mounting options, the Quick-Rack can be mounted in a variety of ways to fit almost any bike:
- Direct mounting on frame threaded eyelets

This is a reasonably light and relatively well priced rear rack. I bought this to replace my seat pack as I’m tired of sway and bouncing off the rear wheel despite mods. As with everything from Ortlieb it is well made with durability in mind. I bought the Ortlieb thru axle as well and this was not quite long enough (but works) for my 142mm frame which I have stretched 6mm to fit a boost rear wheel. The main issue is that the rack is not really compatible with GRX 12sp RD as the quick lever contacts with the gear housing. I tried multiple homemade spaces to clear the housing and ended up with no spaces and reconciled with unscrewing the thru axle extension through the rack quick release to install and remove the rear rack, negating the quick release option. So needing to remove a rear wheel becomes a little more complicated and tedious as there are multiple steps to pull out the thru axle. Of course there is also the seat stay adapter option. Despite this it is appears as a relatively cost effective and dependable solution, but I have not tested it on track which is the real test. Looking at my other bikes with 11sp Ultegra RX, GRX+Wolftooth 11sp, the rack quick release looks like it could work. I haven’t yet considered the problem closely but it seems putting the rack quick release operating from the other direction or a shorter or refined lever could solve the problem of incompatibility with GRX 12sp RD…. or maybe no quick release but just part of the bolt on thru axle design?
