TECHNICAL SPECS
The supple casing of our Rene Herse all-road tires rolls smoothly over surface irregularities. The tread pattern interlocks with the road surface for superior cornering grip, whether your roads are wet or dry. The tread has enough thickness in the center to last many miles, but it’s thin and supple on the shoulders where it doesn’t wear. All models feature:

Fitted standard case Bon Jon Pass Tyres to my new Focus Paralane – only clocked up 150 kms so far – they fitted easily on tubeless rims and they ride SMOOTHLY at 50 psi – (I weigh 92 kgs) – there is no reduction in speed compared with standard road tyres – hope the cost is justified in the long run

They were a pain to install and one refused to stay inflated (replaced under warranty by the wonderful folks at Commuter Cycles). I had 1 puncture and the rear tyre wore off its tread pattern after 2000km but I still rate this as the best slick tyre I’ve ever owned, edging out 32mm Continental GP5000s.
For one, they’re massively more comfortable and confidence inspiring on pavement and gravel. Subjectively they’re a smidge slower than the GP5000 but I still prefer them because of their overall feel.
I’m not sure I’d replace them with the same. I’ve moved into wider tyred gravel type bikes and won’t go back. But for under slicks that are under 40mm they are my favourite.
They measure 38.5mm installed.

Had a few of these 35mm now, which I run with tubes. Not hard to fit and I find them durable. Top marks for comfort, smooth rolling and grip. Not a cheap option, but the best all-round road tyre I’ve tried.

I have the black Extralights. Not the cheapest option but a great tyre for road and smooth gravel. I run 43psi back and front (total weight about 85kg) and they’re smooth, comfortable and quick. Heaps of grip on fast downhill tarmac, great fun. I run tubes so can’t comment on tubeless set up. Really easy fit on my DT RR421 rims.
