IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING RACK FITTING
- Whilst typically not a difficult process, fitting racks is often fiddly and can easily take 30-60 minutes of workshop time
- Most rack fits will require some degree of cutting, cold-setting, filing or adapting to install properly
- We are not able to accommodate people installing racks themselves at the shop
- If you would like us to fit a rack you purchase in-store, please be aware that you will likely need to book a fitting, or leave the bike with us until we have time to squeeze it in
- If you're purchasing a rack in-store, or collecting an online purchase to install at home, please make sure you have some way to carry it home.

I was looking for something to replace my early 80s vintage Jim Blackburn alloy rear rack on my recently restored touring bike (also from the early 80s) and this was what I found. I prefer my rear panniers mounted a bit higher so my heals don’t come into contact with them, and the Tubus Cargo Rear Rack does just that. It also has a very clean and light look, but is as sturdy as you would require, even with a 40kg load. My Blackburn racks did a great job, and it takes a lot to beat them. Tubus has done a great job with this rack, even though mounting Tubus racks isn’t always straight forward.
