There isn’t much to say about these stems. They are a longtime favourite of ours because they do the job very well, come in a good range of sizes and are shiny silver.
The 25.4mm bar clamp diameter will fit most traditional flat, or mountain bike handlebars but if in doubt measure with a pair of vernier calipers first.
Note that more modern mtb bars are 31.8mm, so you might be wanting this stem instead.
The stem clamp is for a standard 1-1/8" steerer.
Elegant threadless 1 1/8″ stems that won’t look out of place on classic bikes.
A simple, polished, all-silver threadless stem with a 25.4 clamp diameter. It’s flippable to really dial in your fit. Available in 6 and 17 degree rise/drop in a variety of extension lengths. 4 bolt handlebar clamp. Length is measured center-to-center along extension.
Specs:
- Handlebar Clamp: 25.4mm
- Steerer Clamp: 1-1/8″
- Stack Height: 40mm
- Weight: 140g (100mm size)
Mike –
What length and angle would you suggest for an all city Spacehorse with rando bars?
Adam Macbeth –
Hi Mike, it’s not possible to answer this question without seeing your setup and you on the bike. Feel free to cruise past the shop and we can take a look otherwise chatting to a local store or bikefitter might be the best approach.
Todd –
its 25.4 on the fork clamp what size is the bar clamp?
Mik Efford –
Hi Todd, no this stem is 25.4mm bar clamp diameter and standard 1-1/8″ fork/steerer clamp. Cheers, Mik
