The Tourist bar is a “North Road” style bar rendered in polished aluminum alloy. It’s similar to the bars used on many classic British roadsters. They’re fantastic for city bikes to gain a good view of traffic ahead.

I have a stem that has a 22.2 mm clamp diameter but the stem splits into two and clamps on either side leaving a 60 mm wide gap in the middle (kind of like a snake tongue). My question is how wide is the 25.4 mm bulge on these handlebars? I’d like to use these bars and I’m thinking I can avoid the 25.4 mm bulge and clamp onto the 22.2 mm portion of the bars.

Hi there,
I have a stem that has a 22.2 mm clamp diameter but the stem splits into two and clamps on either side leaving a 60 mm wide gap in the middle (kind of like a snake tongue). My question is how wide is the 25.4 mm bulge on these handlebars? I’d like to use these bars and I’m thinking I can avoid the 25.4 mm bulge and clamp onto the 22.2 mm portion of the bars.
Thanks!

Hi Toby, these bars aren’t designed to be clamped outside the clamp area, so we can’t recommend you do this.
