We have a really extensive collection of frame prep tools, allowing us to face head tubes, face and chase bottom bracket shells, ream seat tubes, face disc brake tabs, and so on.
Facing means that the surfaces are flat and square so bearings in headsets and bottom brackets run and last well.
Chasing means cleaning threads out so parts fit smoothly and securely.
We regularly build bikes up from the frame only, every custom build gets the headtube faced and reamed and bottom bracket faced.
We make sure to use the right sorts of lubricants, loctite and so on to make sure that everything we attach and adjust stays where it’s meant to.
Getting these small details right from the start can save a lot of headaches down the track.
